07 · AI, Profiling and Automated Processing
Matchez uses artificial intelligence and other automated tools to help candidates present their professional experience and to support matching between candidates and potential opportunities.
These tools may:
- analyse information contained in a candidate’s profile, CV or résumé
- help structure or generate candidate showcases and reports
- identify skills, experience, preferences and other professional signals
- compare those signals with information about roles, organisations or opportunities
- generate recommendations, rankings, summaries or suggested matches
In general terms, the system identifies relevant professional signals supplied by candidates and employers and assesses how closely those signals correspond. The resulting outputs are intended to support human judgement. They may be incomplete or inaccurate and should not be treated as definitive assessments of a person’s ability, suitability or potential.
Our AI providers do not use personal data submitted through the platform to train their general-purpose models. We enforce this through provider settings and contractual controls.
We do not intend to make decisions based solely on automated processing where those decisions would produce legal or similarly significant effects for an individual. Where an automated decision does have such an effect, you may ask us to:
- arrange a review by a person
- explain the factors considered
- allow you to provide additional information
- reconsider or challenge the outcome
To request a human review, contact privacy@matchez.co and include enough information for us to identify the relevant account, recommendation or decision.
08 · Service Providers, Data Sharing and International Transfers
We do not sell personal data.
We use carefully selected service providers to operate the Matchez website and platform. Depending on the services you use, these providers may process personal data on our behalf for the following purposes:
- Supabase — database, authentication and platform infrastructure
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery
- InMotion Hosting — our WordPress hosting provider — hosting the Matchez marketing website
- Google — our email and SMTP provider — sending account, service and other authorised communications
- OpenAI, Anthropic and Google Gemini — AI-assisted analysis, generation and platform functionality
- Stripe — payment processing and related fraud prevention
We may also disclose personal data to professional advisers, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities where this is necessary to comply with the law, protect legal rights or maintain the security of the service.
Our service providers may process personal data only for the agreed purposes and subject to appropriate contractual, confidentiality and security obligations. Not every provider receives every category of personal data.
Some providers or their subprocessors may process personal data outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where applicable, we protect these transfers using an adequacy decision or recognised contractual safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We also assess relevant transfer risks and apply additional safeguards where appropriate.
For further information about a particular provider or international transfer, contact privacy@matchez.co.
