These terms are an agreement between you and Matchez Limited. They govern your use of the Matchez website and platform.

02 · Agreeing to These Terms
By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Matchez.
03 · What Matchez Is
Matchez is a candidate-first talent marketplace. Candidates build a professional profile. Employers discover talent and pitch opportunities. Candidates decide who sees their identity and which pitches to accept.
04 · Who Can Use Matchez
- You must be at least 18
- You must be able to enter into a legally binding contract
- The information you give us must be accurate and kept up to date
- You must not be barred from using the platform under any applicable law
05 · Your Account
One account per person or organisation. Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away at support@matchez.co if you think your account has been compromised.
06 · Candidates
- Present your experience and skills honestly
- Keep confidential information shared by employers confidential
- Use the platform for genuine career purposes
07 · Employers and Recruiters
- Post genuine roles and opportunities
- Respect candidate anonymity. Do not attempt to identify a candidate outside the platform
- Use candidate information only for the recruitment purpose it was shared for
- Comply with employment, equality and data protection law
08 · Acceptable Use
Do not:
- break the law or help anyone else break it
- harass, abuse or mislead other users
- post false or misleading information
- send spam or unsolicited messages
- scrape data or access the platform by automated means without our written permission
- interfere with the security or operation of the platform
- infringe anyone’s intellectual property
We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules.
09 · Credits, Subscriptions and Fees
Employers buy Pitch Credits to send pitches to candidates. A credit is used only when a candidate accepts your pitch and a conversation begins. Unsuccessful pitches cost nothing.
Prices are those shown at the time of purchase. All fees are in pounds sterling (GBP) and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
Credits are non-refundable. Credit packs are valid for 12 months from purchase; credits still unused after that are forfeited. Credits included in a subscription expire at the end of the subscription period they were issued for.
Subscription plans are billed in advance for the period stated at purchase. If a subscription price changes, we will tell you at least 30 days before your renewal.
We may issue promotional credits. These can carry their own conditions and expiry.
Payments are processed securely by our payment provider.
10 · Talent Partner Services
We also place candidates directly through our Talent Partner service — flat-fee placements and monthly retainers. Each engagement is agreed in a separate order form or engagement letter. If an order form conflicts with these terms, the order form applies to that engagement. Everything else in these terms still applies.
11 · Your Content
Your content stays yours. By posting it, you give Matchez a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display it, so we can operate and improve the platform. You confirm you have the right to share what you post. We may moderate or remove content that breaks these terms.
12 · AI Features
Matchez uses AI to help candidates present their experience and to support matching. AI outputs support human judgement. They may be incomplete or inaccurate, and they are not definitive assessments of any person’s ability or potential. Our Privacy Policy explains how AI features process personal data and how to request human review of a significant automated decision.
13 · Our Platform and Brand
The Matchez platform, brand, design and content belong to Matchez Limited. Do not copy, resell or build on them without our written permission.
14 · Ending Your Account
You can close your account at any time in your settings.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or where we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.
15 · Service Availability
Matchez is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep the platform running, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We do not guarantee that any candidate will be hired or that any role will be filled.
16 · Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law of England and Wales. If you use Matchez as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, business or data. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
17 · Disputes and Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If something goes wrong, contact us first at legal@matchez.co — most issues can be resolved informally. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you use Matchez as a consumer and live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim in your local courts.
18 · Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email or on the platform before they take effect. If you keep using Matchez after that, the new terms apply.
19 · General
If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganisation or sale, provided your rights are not reduced.
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the platform.
